A/C Repair

A/C diagnostics, recharge, leak detection, compressor and condenser repair.

Is your car’s A/C blowing hot air? We find out why and fix it, from a refrigerant recharge to compressor and condenser repair.

What we do

  • A/C diagnostics
  • Refrigerant recharge
  • Leak detection and repair
  • Compressor and condenser repair
  • A/C service for all makes and models

Signs your A/C needs service

  • Air comes out warm or only a little cool
  • Weak airflow from the vents
  • Clicking, rattling or squealing when the A/C is on
  • A musty smell from the vents
  • It works some days and not others

Why car A/C stops working

  • Leaks: seals, hoses and fittings wear out over time and let refrigerant escape
  • Compressor problems: the compressor is the pump that moves refrigerant through the system
  • A blocked or damaged condenser: it sits at the front of the car and can be hit by road debris
  • Electrical faults: fuses, relays and sensors that switch the system on

Get ahead of summer

Run your A/C for a few minutes every couple of weeks, even in winter. It keeps the seals in the system from drying out. If it’s already weak in spring, have it checked before the first hot week.

How long it takes

A check and recharge is often done the same day. If we find a leak or a failed part, we explain the repair and the timing before we start.

Low refrigerant usually means there’s a leak. Topping it off without finding the leak only buys time, so we test for leaks first.
