Wheel Alignment

Computer alignment for cars, SUVs and light trucks.

Our shop floor has a Hunter alignment lift, so we can measure your wheel angles and set them to the specs for your vehicle.

What an alignment does

An alignment adjusts the angles of your wheels so they point straight and sit flat on the road. A correct alignment helps tires wear evenly, keeps the car tracking straight and makes the steering feel right.

Signs you need one

  • The car pulls to one side on a straight road
  • The steering wheel is off-center when you drive straight
  • Tires wear faster on one edge
  • You hit a big pothole or a curb
  • You just got new tires or had steering or suspension parts replaced

Alignment or balancing?

They’re easy to mix up. Balancing adds small weights to the wheel so it spins smoothly, which stops vibration at speed. Alignment sets the angle of the wheels, which stops pulling and uneven wear. A shaking steering wheel at highway speed usually points to balance; a car that drifts or a crooked steering wheel usually points to alignment.

What we measure

  • Toe: whether the tires point straight ahead or turn in or out
  • Camber: whether the tires lean in or out at the top
  • Caster: the angle of the steering axis, which helps the wheel return to center

How long it takes

Most alignments take about an hour. If worn parts such as tie rods or ball joints keep the wheels from holding an alignment, we show you what we found and quote the repair before doing any work.
